  • Roll Call of Officers and Trustees – Recording Secretary Brett Porigow

1210  Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer John Zultanky

  • All accounts are in the black; All bills have been paid and current.
  • Sign up for the PARPA “Mail Chimp” email account via the PARPA website to receive correspondence and stay up to date on announcements, events and notifications.

1214  President’s Report – President John McDevitt

  • The PARPA Financial Secretary and Trustees fulfilled their obligations to meet and review the organization’s finances. This review was performed in January with all accounts/finances/expenses found to be in order and consistent with the PARPA Bylaws.
  • The LEOSA Chairman’s report was presented by Chairman Jack Giordano
    • The NJSPBA LEOSA ID cards are still available for purchase. Members seeking to renew previously issued ID cards should submit their application for renewal at least one month prior to the date of expiration.
    • The LEOSA Reform Act passed in the US House of Representatives.
      • This act updates and clarifies some rules and restrictions for carrying firearms by qualified active and retired Law Enforcement officers in areas such as school zones, federal buildings, National Parks and addresses magazine capacity. Updates to follow
    • 2026 Member Dues will remain fixed at $ 20. Members who reach 75 years of age will have membership dues waived

NEW BUSINESS

PARPA relies on our members to provide accurate and timely information regarding death notifications and funeral arrangements.  Please share verified information to any member of the board to allow for verification and sharing.

 

Hearing Aid Program forms are available to the membership and the benefit is now $2,500

 

Frank Gato announced that the Special Olympics opening ceremony will honor Jim McKeever.

 

Gary Mocik reported that United Healthcare is in negotiations with Memorial Sloan Kettering to continue to serve patients who are covered  by United Healthcare.

  • 50/50 Tickets are being printed and will be available for purchase. They will continue to be sold up to and including the December Holiday meeting, at which event, the winner will be picked.  The cost will be $ 50 per ticket.
